SLAVE's Review
I approached this book with an open mind, believing it was a full length novel because of its page count. To my surprise it was a book that actually contained 16 different stories all by the same author, including 3 lengthy introductions, that I found completely unnecessary. They puff these stories and the author so high it was easy to expect more and proved to be very disappointing.

First, to catch my eye was a major type-o in the title on the title page. That screamed something was wrong. "Troke the Fire" There were even typo's in the blurb I got from Amazon to put on this page. The poor quality of the editing process shows.

Out of the 16, only 2 were worth a review: THE GREENER GRASS and HOLLYWOOD BLVD, both get 4 pens from me. Though those 2 stories were very good, the others weren't worth even one pen.
My over-all review is of this collection of M. Christian shorts? Two good ones out of sixteen isn't a good ratio so this book goes penless

Yours to Command, by Cameron Lawton

You don't advertise your sexuality in the British Army, especially if you're in love with your Commanding Officer.

Don't let anyone fool you! The Military Police is no place for sissies. Captain Rory Sumner has a lot to lose. Discovered having a gay affair with a corporal, he's already been busted down the ranks once and the British Army are watching him very carefully. Joachim (Jack) Jones is blond-haired, blue-eyed and half-German ... plus he's in love with Rory. Unfortunately he's also Rory's assistant. They're both trying hard to ignore the fact that they're desperate for each other, which works.... until Rory finds Jack moonlighting as a rent-boy. He'll teach him a lesson!

SLAVE's Review
Every once in a while I come across a book, novel, novella, or short story that I am pleased to review. This novella, Yours To Command, by Cameron Lawton, is one of those. I appreciated his no-nonsense character interaction and story flow. The hesitant emotions shared between Rory and Jack was quite refreshing as they were pretty much honor-bound to not even to voice their hidden feelings for each other. This story comes together and concludes greatly.
I gladly give it 5 pens plus refills.
